Print Design
As a part-time employee at Collaborate, UCSB’s student support center for tech, I was responsible for planning workshops and designing flyers to promote them.
I primarily focused on strategizing how to improve attendance for creative-track workshops (Photoshop and Illustrator). Students hesitated taking on these courses because they weren’t sure what would be taught in the course. Some even felt intimidated to take the advanced courses. To be more transparent, I introduced whimsical characters to bring humor and relatability to the designs.
My recruiting flyer was so well-received by management that it remained posted for an entire year, instead of the usual quarter-long display.

Professional Writing Minor
As a video editor, I primarily created motion designs for my professors.
For the Professional Writing Minor, I had the opportunity to edit videos and design motion graphics to promote certain programs within the minor. While I initially followed UCSB's brand guidelines, we later decided to personalize the writing minor’s identity by selecting a vibrant color palette that reflected the students’ creativity and passion for writing.

Social Media
I was a member of UCSB’s Korean Pop Culture Club for 4 years. For three years, I was in charge of rebranding the club’s image and created flyers advertising our events and fundraisers. I designed end-of-the-year banquet assets such as the Produce 101-inspired nametags below and even edited all their videos since my first year at UCSB.
